Several gardens contain a sloping situation, where you can apply incline plantation as ground covers. An excellent solution for a beautiful green view. Ground covers on an slope provide various benefits. In this article we explain them some more.
There are several benefits to using plant mats on an incline or slope: plant mats prevent the soil from rinsing (erosion) at the incline. Just like any other situation using the Covergreen® ground covers, you get an instant green result on your incline. Also it is convenient for an incline to provide it with maintenance friendly green, considering the difficult maintenance and accessibility of the slope.

Another benefit is the absorbing effect of the substrate on which the Covergreen® plant mats are being cultured. This substrate works as a temporary water buffer and can deliver the rain water gradually to the plant and drain the excessive water to the soil of the incline. The powerful roots of the ready to use ground covers make sure the soil beneath the mats are being held. The roots give structure to the incline and therefor prevent the soil from rinsing and sinking.
On slopes up until 50°, a lot is possible with the Covergreen® plant mats. Optional ground pins make sure the mats anchor directly after installation. After 3 weeks you can remove the pins, because the roots have been connected properly to the soil.
